Time to Move it

The other day I was talking about not making resolutions for the New Year - more of a to-do list.

Do you know what is on the top of my things to do list?

No, it’s no yo’ mamma. It’s running, shuffling, speed mincing. A year on the couch has softened me and now that I am braced for action, it is time to start again.

The lovely Kate from KateSaysStuff has set up OperationMove and I am joining in.

OperationMove is a social online community where you can set yourself goals to increase your fitness and general well being. It is not a diet plan and there is loads of other sensible information and support, but I am jumping on board because....
  1. I want to increase my overall level of fitness, drop a few kilo’s, strengthen and tone and to be able to plank longer than Crazy and MrF
  2. I actually enjoy running when I get into it and get past the non-breathing bit
  3. I am uber competitive and love beating my own PB (that’s fit people talk right there, but I don’t know what Peanut Butter has to do with running)
  4. I need some incentive
  5. Kate is awesome
  6. And shizz, just remembered my name is down to be doing either a 14km or a HM in May.
Goal for January is to reach 20km a week, more running than walking (last week was 14km) but I know I need to watch the cankle and be sensible. Boo!

Wish me luck.... actually, come and join in, we can share our favourite running EuroTrashPop! : )
