The other day Crazy was helping me pack away the grocery shopping.
Actually, she was probably just picking through the shopping to see what spoils interested her. She found something, a new pack of crayons.
Alas, the colourful box was just Kotex doing their best to bring a colourful party into your pants every month, no crayons.
Crazy was disappointed. This is not the first time that colourful sanitary products have disappointed her, or even the shopping.
Everyday we are faced with those little disappointments in life. Like putting your finger through the toilet paper, realising there are no banana’s left, a friend thinking it was your 40th on your 37th, running out of money, struggling with the 5km/30min split or just daily dealings with bawbags.
How do you deal with life’s little potholes and A-holes?
I have spoken before about Mindfulness, I try and practice it (calling someone a bawbag is NOT very mindful) but it is so difficult.
Mental strength is something I struggle with. I know I can do things, get over things, push through the pain of things, I am a ‘do-er’, industrious. But sometimes, comparing to others is just too easy, over analysing is too easy, getting disappointed is too easy.
So easy it makes me want to quit, give up or just get really shitty and unmindful.
Do you just run your own race in life, because if you do, I would love you to tell me how you do it.
