New to Australia, this is a reality TV program which has a ridiculously good looking guy, Tim, who has been unlucky in love is ready to put his heart on the line to find the love of his life. Awwwwww.
Oh my god - what complete and utter shit.
To start with it was a bit funny, albeit very cringe worthy, as 25 lovely ladies strutted down a red carpet to meet MrBach. The awkward first words, the lonely back stories about dating dickheads, how this could be their chance at finding happiness and finally being able to live out the dream wedding they have been planning since they were 5.
I couldn’t watch. I was squirming and squealing at the telly..... and then (even though it seemed impossible) it got worse.
It was time for these lovely clones to vie for MrBach’s attention. The claws came out, lips wobbled, eyes went more doey, bunnies started boiling and desperation, like the scent of fake tan, hung thick in the air. Only 20 of the 25 would make it through to the next round. Each doing whatever they could to stay on, to get his approval, to get noticed.
The longer I sullied my head space with this pap the angrier I got. Did any self respect get swapped for hair extensions?
Isn’t this just an excuse for a hot guy (seriously, he’s an AussieBum model!!) to pash as many women as possible whilst also teasing the viewers with as many shots of his rock hard abs as possible as gorgeous women act like complete and utter tragics?
What the fek ladies?! Have some dignity. As a mother to a ten year old girl, I cannot imagine her watching this contest. Watching (and laughing at) beautiful, intelligent women (though it seems you have to be over 180cm tall, under a size8, have stick arms, whiter than white teeth and long hair to be involved) act like complete vacuous, hollow clones just to get his attention.
In reality it’s not funny, it’s just plain sad. Honestly 'bachelorettes' you're better than this.
